Abstract Surface science and engineering gained an increasing importance in recent years, due to the potential benefit they can offer many applications. An important parameter this field is surface wettability, that general evaluated by contact angle. One of most accurate techniques measure quantity axisymmetric drop shape analysis, based on fitting theoretical Laplace-Young profile contour experimental drops. In paper performance a simple, low-cost setup – be built “at home” apply technique assessed, also including detailed analysis about influence parameters set procedure. The latter aspect was using computer-generated profiles pictures, have “realistic” images, but for drops known properties. desk, table lamp, medical syringe, support samples “bridge” camera.
